We welcomed 53 students and 13 staff from our brother school Villanova College - Brisbane. The boys were billeted out to our families, and we competed against them in basketball, debating, football and rugby. SRC Prefect Mitchell Gilligan wrote: “I’ve spent the last couple of nights with my Villanova brothers Tom and Alexandro who stayed at my house, learning about their stories and goals in life, which is quite refreshing. This term has been really tough to stay motivated, and I’m sure you can relate. The election, HSC Assessments and the ups and downs of social life has been a stressful time, however sharing my experiences and meeting fresh faces has been energising. Thank you to Tom and Alexandro for making the end of my term eventful and a new change of my perspective about the values of Augustine and what it means to be a community beyond and within. And thank you to Villanova College, for your heart-warming presence and making the end of our term one to remember.”
