Integrating the Stella Maris Girls into our construction course this year has been a resounding success so far, bringing fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and a commendable level of commitment to the program. Their participation not only challenged traditional gender roles within the construction industry but also fostered a more inclusive and collaborative learning environment. The girls have demonstrated strong teamwork, quickly adapted to hands-on tasks, and showed growing confidence in using tools and techniques fundamental to the trade. Their involvement has enriched the course dynamic, encouraging all students to engage more deeply and with greater respect for diversity in the field. This positive experience sets a strong precedent for continued integration and broader outreach moving forward.
