2C. Develop a greater sense of connection, safety, community and care in all the College community.

  • For the staff to create engagement opportunities for staff to develop authentic relationships and cohesion.
  • Stakeholder engaged:
  • Staff

In 2022, staff identified a desire to build stronger relationships across the College, and they delivered this through a variety of formal and informal initiatives, including:

Social committee activities

Paint and Sip, Bacon and Egg breakfasts, end-of-term celebrations, Staff Salsa, Shrove Tuesday pancakes, trivia nights, Saints swimmers, running club, Saints cyclists.

Good Turns Box

Staff nominated colleagues that went above and beyond, with all nominees put into a hat and a winner randomly drawn to be announced and awarded a prize by the social committee.

Leaders Colloquium

Caritas Lounge

The staff "Caritas Lounge" was created in 2022 to serve as a space big enough for staff to meet colleagues, grab coffee, have lunch. It includes coffee machine, fridge, microwave, book swap, pigeon holes, lounge chairs. The area also hosted staff farewells and professional development activities.

Staff Morning Tea

Staff organised a roster where a different department provides morning tea for all staff on a fortnightly basis.

Staff Lunch

The College provides a forthnightly staff lunch, encouraging staff to take time to eat together and chat with colleagues from other faculties/departments in an informal setting.

Staff Reflection Day

An opportunity for staff to spiritually connect and take time away from everyday, range of staff activities driven my Mission & Wellbeing team.
