St Augustine's College worked with Villanova College on a proposal to host the Augustinian Values Institute (AVI) program in Australia in 2028.
The proposal was taken to the 2025 AVI in Boston, and was presented to the North American Provinces asking them to consider allowing the Australian province to host AVI in 2028. A copy of the brochure is available here.
The proposal was well received. If it is accepted, it would offer the Colleges the opportunity to expose more of our staff to the collegial formation experience fostered through the AVI programs.
Hosting an AVI would provide our American brothers and sisters with exposure to Augustinian education mission in Australia and allow a significant number of Australian staff to engage with the rich learnings around Augustinian spirituality and pedagogy that AVI programs offer.
