Introduction
This document provides a structure for teachers at St Augustine’s College to assess their professional growth and development. The template consists of three sections: self-evaluation, feedback, and action plan. Each section contains a set of questions that teachers can use to reflect on their performance, identify their strengths and areas of improvement, and set their goals and strategies for the next academic year.
Self-Evaluation
In this section, teachers are encouraged to review their teaching practices, student outcomes, and professional learning activities. The questions are based on the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) and the school's vision and values. Teachers can use the following questions to guide their self-evaluation.
Feedback
In this section, teachers are encouraged to seek feedback from their colleagues, students via EI and school leaders. Feedback is an essential component of professional growth and development, as it provides teachers with different perspectives and insights on their teaching practice. Teachers can use the following questions to guide their feedback process. Notes do not need to be taken; however the questions should support the development of the teacher’s professional goals.
Action Plan
In this section, teachers are encouraged to set their goals and strategies for the next academic year. Goals are statements of what teachers want to achieve or improve in their teaching practice. Strategies are the actions or steps that teachers will take to achieve their goals.
