SRC conducted a revised version of the Push up Challenge to develop a sense of community and connection amongst House/Year Groups.
Over the course of the challenge Heads of Year and Heads of House were asked to nominate one student who was seen as capable with push ups but also modelled the engagement and connection to community that we love. There was then a push up-off as a grand finale during the Week 7 Assembly, with the winner receiving a prize.
The SRC developed a PowerPoint which was placed on all the classrooms Vivi Screens in the weeks prior to the Push up challenge finale.
The Push up challenge is about increasing awareness for mental health and suicide. An example of one of the PowerPoints below.
Year/House Groups showed connectedness through a common goal and with healthy rivalry.
