- Board
During 2024, members of the Leadership Team were invited to contribute at Board Meetings:
John Danson, Chief Information Officer
"During the College Board Strategy Day, I presented the IT Strategy, highlighting our key strategic priorities for technology. The strategy is grounded in the user experience we want to provide—making it easier for parents to engage, reducing the administrative load on staff, and supporting student learning through purposeful digital tools. These user-centred goals help define what ‘good’ looks like and provide a practical framework for shaping and prioritising our major digital investments over time."
Kate Earle, Deputy Principal - Students
"As part of my leadership development, I was given an invitation by the Board to attend both the Finance Committee Meetings as well as the Board Meetings. This is an invaluable opportunity, one that most Deputies in schools are not afforded. Being an observer in these meetings has been of immense benefit as I'm able to gain an understanding of how school finances work as well as an understanding of the role played by the College Board, the value of the relationship between the Principal and the Board, and the Governance requirements that go with this role. It has been an exceptional opportunity for me as I grow as a school leader."
John Laforest, Deputy Principal - Academic
"During the College Board meetings, the academic performance outcomes for 2024 were formally presented, with particular emphasis on the HSC and NAPLAN results. The analysis encompassed both the strengths and identified challenges associated with these outcomes, accompanied by strategic recommendations for improvement. Potential staffing risks were also addressed, including considerations related to recruitment and workforce stability. Furthermore, future academic priorities were outlined, with guidance offered on how the Board may best support the effective implementation of these initiatives."
