The College Annual Melbourne Cup event has become somewhat of a rite of passage for the students at Saints. It is a terrific way for the oldest boys in the College and youngest boys in the College to come together as a team to gain House points. The event started with a Fashion on the Field with the Year 12 cohort, who all came to school dressed in their finest outfits and participated in a fashion parade. It was good fun and, as a bonus, shows staff members that the boys do know how to dress well and tuck their shirts in. At lunch the main event happened. The House race. This comprised of a Year 12 boy (the horse) carrying a year 5 boy (the jockey) around a set course on the oval. The event was watched by the full College and had a real community feel.
