In August, the College sought expressions of interest for the position of Head of SEA, internally and externally:

This position is responsible for the strategic and innovative delivery of the College’s Service Education and Awareness Program (SEA). This position reports to the Deputy Principal – Mission and Wellbeing and is accountable for the development and support of service and awareness formation experiences, and programs that express our College identity and culture, consistent with our Catholic mission and identify, ensuring that all facets of the SEA program remain faithful to our Augustinian charism of Truth, Love and Community (Veritas, Caritas, Communitas).

To be considered for this position candidates will be required to be able to demonstrate:

  • exceptional classroom practice and a reputation as a positive role-model for staff and students
  • success in developing, implementing, and evaluating service and/or awareness related activities
  • depth of knowledge of, and advocacy for, Catholic mission and identity and Augustinian charism
  • active engagement in, or advocacy for, service-related activities inside and/or outside of the College
  • a track record of fostering positive relationships with staff, students and parents
  • the capacity to self-reflect on performance and leadership, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • strong administrative and organisational skills
  • a strong appetite for ongoing personal development and growth
Following the process, Kathryn Bignold was appointed Head of SEA:

Kathryn Bignold brings a wealth of experience in the Service space both domestically and from her time at an international school. She has a thorough understanding of the College, its values and culture and knows the boys very well as a former Head of House.
