SRC whole-school mufti day raising funds for the Cut for a Cure.
The SRC supported Angus McInnes in his Cut for a Cure fundraiser in memory of his brother Isaac who passed away due to an aggressive brain tumour. The SRC collected $5.00 from every student who wore mufti on the last day of Term 2. Angus McInnes, Head Prefect and Heavey House Captain’s fundraising efforts together with the St Augustine’s College community reached a staggering $80,000. This shows amazing community spirit with students, parents, staff and families all donating funds. This attracted media attention which then led to a Community Recognition Statement by Member for Wakehurst, Michael Regan MP, in NSW Parliament’s Legislative Assembly and Hansard report.
