eBooks

The introduction of our new eBook platform in 2023 was positively received by our students, parents and staff. We have seen a substantial increase in borrowing rates, confirming the value and accessibility this digital delivery platform is able to offer. Our English teachers delighted in the accessibility and immediacy of the platform, with students able to access a huge number of texts within their English classrooms.

Summer Reading Guide

The ARC unveiled the Summer Reading Guide 2023-2024 to ensure our students had access to a range of suggested texts over the protracted summer break. This comprehensive guide offered a curated selection of diverse books to accommodate different interests and reading levels. This was showcased through our social media channels and parent feedback was very positive.

Reading Lists

Feeback via our English faculty after Parent Teacher Evenings indicated parents wanted to see their sons reading more but needed guidance around text choices and age appropriate suggestions. In response the ARC team created Reading Lists for Years 5 – 10, across a huge variety of genres and reading abilities. Our English Faculty have utilised these resources throughout 2023 during parent conversations seeking further literacy guidance for their sons.

Micro Lessons

In 2023 the ARC designed a range of bite-sized micro and mini lessons, available online 24/7 to support students in mastering a variety of essential academic skills. These included referencing techniques and academic writing techniques, our digitized lessons have been designed to offer convenient access to expert guidance anytime, anywhere. Each lesson is designed to deliver maximum impact in a minimal amount of time, ensuring that students can efficiently enhance their understanding and proficiency across various subjects. Student feedback on the accessibility and ease of access of these resources has been extremely positive.

Book a Librarian

Our Book a Librarian service—a personalized academic support system designed to empower students with the tools and resources they need to excel in their studies – was introduced in 2023. This assists our students and staff when seeking research guidance, assistance with citations, or recommendations for scholarly sources, via our team of librarians. In scheduling a one-on-one session, students receive tailored support, tailored to their specific needs and learning objectives.
