Care and Engagement
2C. Develop a greater sense of connection, safety, community, and care in all the College community.
- To create a culture of inclusion of the Primary School, including working with the Primary SRC as part of a whole school SRC.
- Stakeholder engaged:
- Students
The Primary SRC now attends the High School SRC meetings three times per term, giving Primary students a clear line of sight into how decisions are made across the College and an aspirational pathway into senior leadership. The Primary School also participated in the SRC Leadership Skill Development program, with a focus on goal-setting and overcoming obstacles.
Joint initiatives have brought the two cohorts together: a House Bishop Shield Maths Competition and Spelling Bee run by senior student leaders for the Primary School, a combined SRC cake day fundraiser for Bandu, and the SRC's purchase of five ping pong tables and equipment placed across the school grounds to encourage social connection across Years 7–11.
