Catholic Augustinian Identity

1A. Strengthen a shared, contemporary, community model of the Catholic Augustinian traditions with an explicit focus on developing a Christ-centred personal faith and spirituality.

  • To enhance staff understanding of College values through lived, observable routines and rituals
  • Stakeholder engaged:
  • Staff

The College's prayer life has continued to be fostered through opening lesson prayers, prayers to open all staff meetings and weekly Staff Briefings, and Wednesday Morning Community Masses. A Daily Prayer Resource was introduced in the staff bulletin to support regular and collective formation across the College, building a rhythm of shared reflection that reinforces our identity and mission in everyday staff life.

Along with our annual Reflection Days in each year group, in Term 4, up to 30 staff members participated in the Senior Retreat — a formative experience designed to deepen engagement with our core values of community, interiority, humility, the search for Truth, and ongoing conversion. This was complemented by professional learning sessions exploring how everyday language and interpersonal interactions can affirm or undermine respect and inclusion, with practical strategies for cultivating values-based classroom culture. One Senior Retreat activity included the creation of an image of Augustine - made by individual tiles.

The College also celebrated two special Masses in honour of Pope Leo XIV, our first Augustinian Pope, with our wider parish, Augustinian priests, ex-staff and Old Boys joining the community.
