Care and Engagement

2D. Build proactive, supportive opportunities and programs for the wellbeing of the College community.

  • Enhance the SRC's role as an emblem for student voice thereby promoting student voice from within the College.
  • Stakeholder engaged:
  • Students

Student Voice Week, run by the student leaders and supported by the SRC, included a Heat Map exercise that captured students' views, concerns and aspirations for the College. The collated feedback is now being used by the incoming student leaders to shape their goals and initiatives for the year ahead. The SRC also takes a lead role in shaping major events — including the design and delivery of Patron's Day activities — and recently coordinated and led a Whole School Assembly.

The SRC's own Student Leadership Development Program brought in staff and external speakers to develop the boys' capabilities in goal-setting, public speaking, respectful relationships and perspective-taking. SRC members shared their reflections on these sessions through articles in Tolle Lege, giving public voice to their learning.
