- Stakeholder engaged:
- Staff
In 2025–2026, staff recognised the importance of strengthening relationships across the College community and actively worked towards this goal through a range of formal and informal initiatives that reflect the Augustinian motto “One mind and one heart on the way to God”, emphasising unity, shared purpose, and care for one another. These initiatives were designed to foster connection, wellbeing, and collaboration among colleagues.
The Staff Social Committee organised a variety of activities, including Paint and Sip events, bacon and egg breakfasts, end-of-term celebrations, Shrove Tuesday pancake gatherings, and yoga classes. In addition, the Social Committee runs a major Christmas raffle featuring significant prizes, which raises funds for local charities. Over the past two years, this initiative has contributed more than $10,000 to community organisations.
The College also provided a fortnightly staff lunch, enabling staff to come together in an informal setting to share a meal and connect with colleagues across different faculties and departments.
The “Good Turns Box” initiative encouraged staff to acknowledge colleagues who went above and beyond in their roles. All nominations were entered into a draw, with a winner randomly selected and awarded a prize by the Social Committee, promoting a culture of appreciation and recognition.
Staff morning tea sessions were established on a fortnightly roster, with different departments taking responsibility for providing catering for the whole staff. This initiative fostered inter-departmental engagement and shared responsibility.
