Building Capacity
5A. Provide professional and personal opportunities for students, staff and parents to experience growth that is fulfilling, affirming and meaningful.
- To increase opportunities for staff to contribute to school-wide initiatives and innovations.
- Stakeholder engaged:
- Staff
Staff have continued to play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a range of co-curricular and community engagement programs throughout the year, including Write a Book in a Day, Women and Children First, and College Tours. Staff, parents and students were also offered the opportunity to donate to the North Coast Flood appeal through the Smiths Lake SES.
Approximately 20% of staff have been observed as part of the PLG framework, and 50% have attended Professional Learning sessions targeted to their personal goals. The feedback loop between observation, coaching and program design is creating an increasing pipeline of staff opportunities to contribute to school-wide priorities.
